Trainee
Juvenile Geriatric Delinquent,
Sounds
ever so grand and so eloquent!
But
this is a term I give to the permanently
young at heart,
The
folks who are growing old disgracefully
with fun to impart.
The
people who refuse, to act their age,
Those
who are not true, to their ageing stage.
The
folks that never seem, to look their
age either,
Fighting
fit and don't even need to stop, for
a breather!
Still
getting up to mischief, out on escapades,
So
extroverted, they need no shades!
Going
swinging, dogging, to parties and dancing,
Living
life to the full, and further enhancing.
Still
prepared to act the goat,
Go
out wearing an outrageous coat.
Giving
others something, to gossip about,
Growing
old disgracefully, without a doubt.
Out
on motorbikes and still out racing,
Love
the buzz with hearts fast pacing.
Out
in sports cars, wind in their hair,
Still
dresses sexily, do they care?!
Trying
out all the fun of the fair, you bet,
Some
party to the snazzy, jet set.
The
wacky backy parties ,the hippies of
yesteryear,
These
are the ones who are pretty much, still
there.
Got
all of their marbles up topsides,
No
dementia and nothing degenerative hides!
These
are the folks who like to live on the
edge,
Dangerously
balancing on life's window ledge!
The
go getter's, that no know bounds,
The
sound of laughter, surround sounds.
They
still like pop concerts, and all that
jazz,
Their
lives still full ,of razzmatazz!
Doing
things of an outrageous nature,
Yet
still hoping for something of a future!
Dare
them to do, just about anything,
They
will do, it caution to fling.
Still
full of life, and the soul of the party,
Even
still hippie ,or arty farty!
They
long to halt ageing, and strive to stay
young,
Their
sense of adventure, knowingly under-sung.
The
Growing Old Disgracefully Brigade,
These
folks got halting ageism, seriously
made!
