Mr & Mrs Twee had a day out on the prom,
Leaving their home the local mausoleum!
They headed off in their Twee attire,
In their old fashioned car with spare tyre!
A Twee day out at the local sea side,
Sitting eating ice cream cones on a slow ride.
Complete with macs and plastic hats,
All set to look like a pair of prats!
Sitting in the shelter on the promenade,
Sheltering from the wind like lumps of lard.
They decide to go eat in a local cafe,
Fish and chips and ocean spay.
A pot of tea and everything square,
Including the patterns on the tablecloth there.
Looking at the nick knack shops,
He's dragged around until he drops!
She just has to find the most boring spots,
Shopping for the ever so twee of pots.
More to take home to the mausoleum,
The folks so archaic they are a walking museum.
They wander about on the windy prom,
Who knows where these folks came from.
They are feeling brave so try the fair,
On the dodgems they do or dare.
In the ghost train they're at home,
A wrinkly disguised as a garden gnome!
Mr & Mrs Twee had afternoon tea,
In a china cup and scones you see.
It just had to be their cup of tea,
A day out at the prom for Mr & Mrs Boring Twee! ~&~
